Police Investigate Armed Robbery

Las Cruces Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Lohman Avenue convenience store late Thursday evening, and Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that can help identify the suspect.

At about 9:30 p.m. Thursday, July 28, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery that occurred at the Shell Self-Serve and Food Mart at 926 E. Lohman Ave. Officers learned that the suspect entered the store armed with a knife, threatened an employee and demanded cash from the register.

The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.

The suspect, a man, concealed his identity by covering his face. He was wearing a striped white and black shirt, dark jeans and a baseball cap. He has several tattoos on his forearms.
